"Incredibly thoughtful, passionate, detail-oriented, hands-on, creative, self-starting marketing and research swiss-army knife.” That is how I’d describe Melissa if choosing a set of descriptive adjectives.

 

I turned to Melissa countless times through my four years working with her to help get new initiatives started. I turned to her whenever I needed a thought partner to help get something from an interesting idea to an active pursuit and eventually a successful outcome.

 

Melissa can wear a ton of hats, loves to get her hands dirty and iterate on new ideas to get them to market and to evolve existing projects and processes to make them better and scale. She’s got excellent market research chops and experience and a marketing mindset. We worked hand in hand on several specific initiatives that were some of my (and her) proudest accomplishments at SurveyMonkey.

 

We launched the first set of SurveyMonkey’s “packaged solutions” including our brand tracking product and our concept assessment product. She was vital in creating the initial beta products and helped them scale to multi-million $ offerings for our business. She also helped the team create the entire set of marketing collateral and programs around those offerings and even helped me showcase the offerings at industry events.

 

She can play the swiss-army roles that any startup needs in go-to-market, but has also spent time in project management and marketing organizations so has the best practices and client service skills - we used the whole range of her skill set to build our Audience business from scratch to a major contributor to SurveyMonkey’s overall revenue, supporting over 100 people.
